How to Use & Care
Before first use
- Wash the teapot, lid and infuser in warm, soapy water, then rinse well.
Brewing
- Put your leaves in the infuser and set it in the pot.
- Pour in hot water from the kettle and put the lid on.
- When the colour looks right, lift the infuser out so the tea doesn’t turn bitter.
Cleaning
- Wash by hand in warm, soapy water with a soft sponge or bottle brush.
- Rinse the infuser straight after use so leaves don’t dry in the mesh.
- To lift tea stains, leave a little bicarbonate of soda and warm water in the pot for a few minutes, then rinse.
Precautions
- Heat your water in a kettle: don’t put the pot on a hob, open flame or hot plate.
- Avoid sudden changes of temperature, such as rinsing a hot pot under cold water.
- The glass and the steel lid warm up with hot water: hold the pot by its handle as you pour.
- Don’t use the pot if the glass is chipped or cracked.

The ritual
Made for sharing
A wide, low pot belongs in the middle of the table. Pour for two, then pour again: every cup comes from the same brew, and the conversation keeps going.
Add the two matching glass cups, and you can watch the colour of the tea from the pot to the last sip.
Made for hot water
Isn’t glass fragile?
The body is heat-resistant glass, made to take water straight from the kettle. Give it a moment rather than plunging it from hot to cold, and it’s made for everyday use.
And if it ever arrives damaged, send us a photo and we’ll send a replacement or refund you in full.
-
See it brew
Clear glass lets you watch the leaves open and judge the strength by colour.
-
Fine steel infuser
A stainless steel mesh that holds loose leaves back, then lifts straight out.
-
Two sizes
600 ml for two, 800 ml to share.
Can I pour boiling water into it?
Yes. The body is heat-resistant glass, made to take water straight from the kettle. Just avoid sudden changes of temperature, such as rinsing a hot pot under cold water.
Can it go on the hob?
No. Heat your water in a kettle and pour it in. Keep the pot away from hobs, open flames and hot plates.
Which size should I choose?
600 ml for two or three cups: about 10 cm tall and 18 cm wide from spout to handle. 800 ml for about four cups, to share a pot: about 11 cm tall and 20 cm wide. The full measurements are under Details & Specifications above.
Are there matching cups?
Yes: our Double-Wall Glass Tea Cups, a set of two small 50 ml cups, are made to go with it. You can add them in one click, just under the basket button.
Will leaves get into my cup?
The fine steel mesh holds back loose leaves. With very fine teas, such as rooibos, a few specks may slip through. Our brewing guide has more tips.
Can it go in the dishwasher?
We recommend washing it by hand in warm, soapy water. Rinse the infuser straight after use, so leaves don’t dry in the mesh.
Is it a good gift?
A lovely one, on its own or with the two matching cups. Delivery takes 7–14 days in total, Monday to Friday (2–4 days processing, then 5–10 days shipping, both Monday to Friday), so order a little ahead for a birthday.
What if it arrives broken, or I change my mind?
If anything arrives damaged, send us a photo and we’ll send a replacement or refund you in full. You can also return it within 30 days of delivery: see our returns and refunds policy.
