Tea Sets
Everything you need for a proper pot, chosen to go together.
Everything you need for a proper pot, chosen to go together.
A tea set saves you the search. Instead of matching a pot to cups, or hunting for the right tools, you start with pieces chosen to go together and spend your time on the tea itself. This collection holds two kinds of tea set: a teapot with six matching cups, for sharing leaf tea around the table, and matcha sets, with the bowl, whisk and scoop to make a single serving. Each one is a ready-made starting point, whether you are setting up your first tea corner or adding to one you already love. Tea leaves and matcha powder are not included.
The Japanese-inspired teapot-and-cups set is made for company. The pot holds about 820 ml and has a built-in stainless steel filter, so you can brew loose leaves without a separate strainer, and six matching cups of about 180 ml each go around the table. It comes in a deep midnight blue or black glaze, painted with a mountain or village scene and gold-coloured details, and a natural rope wrap covers the metal handle. Because the decoration contains metal, wash it by hand and keep it away from the microwave. Heat your water in a kettle, not on the hob.
If you prefer matcha, our matcha sets give you the tools to make it the slow way. Every set has a ceramic bowl, a bamboo whisk, a scoop and a ceramic holder where the whisk dries upright. The six-piece versions add a bamboo spoon and a stainless steel sieve to break up lumps, and arrive in a kraft box. Some bowls have a pouring lip, others are straight-sided and deep enough to whisk freely. Colours range from sage and mint to black stone and blue speckle. Browse all of our matcha sets to compare the colours and what comes in the box.
Choose by how you drink tea. The teapot set suits shared pots of leaf tea, and a matcha set suits a slow bowl for one. Both make a thoughtful gift for someone who loves tea, and the six-piece matcha sets arrive in a kraft box. You will find more ideas in our gifts for tea lovers. Care is simple: wash the ceramic by hand, keep every piece out of the dishwasher and the microwave, and heat water in a kettle for the teapot. Each page has the full care notes, including how to look after a bamboo whisk. Questions before you order? Write to contact@ooloteaware.com and we will reply within 24 hours, Monday to Friday.
