Any delivery or service charges are shown before you confirm your order and added to the total. If the applicable tax rate changes, prices may be adjusted accordingly. There are no hidden charges.
We may refuse any order you place with us. We may, at our discretion, limit or cancel the quantities bought per person, per household or per order. This may include orders placed with the same customer account, the same payment card and/or the same billing or delivery address. If we change or cancel an order, we will try to let you know using the email address, billing address or phone number given with the order, and refund any payment in full.

Please review third parties' policies and practices carefully before entering into any transaction with them.
Article 9 – Comments, feedback and other submissions
If you send us ideas, suggestions, proposals or other material, whether at our request (for example, for a competition) or not (together, “comments”), you agree that we may edit, copy, publish, distribute, translate and otherwise use them in any medium, at any time and without restriction. Article 13 – Our liability to you
We can't guarantee that our site will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free, and we may occasionally need to take it offline.
If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that failure. We are not responsible for loss or damage that isn't foreseeable, or for business losses, as our products are sold for domestic and private use. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if you live in the United Kingdom.
Article 14 – Indemnity
You agree to indemnify OOLO against any reasonable claims or demands made by a third party as a result of your breach of these terms or of any law, or of the rights of a third party.
Article 15 – Severability
If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, it will still apply to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the unenforceable part will be treated as separate from these terms. This will not affect the validity of the remaining terms.
Article 16 – Termination
The obligations and liabilities of the parties arising before termination will survive the termination of this agreement.
These terms remain in force unless and until ended by you or by us. You can end them at any time by telling us that you no longer wish to use our services, or by stopping using our site. We may also end them if we reasonably believe that you have breached these terms.
Article 17 – Entire agreement
If we fail to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these terms, this does not mean we have waived it.
These terms, together with any policies or operating rules published on this site, form the entire agreement between you and us, and replace any earlier agreements, communications or proposals, whether spoken or written (including any earlier version of these terms). Any ambiguity in these terms will not be interpreted against the party that drafted them.
Article 18 – Changes to these terms
You can read the latest version of these terms on this page at any time. We may update, change or replace any part of them by publishing the changes on our website. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
Article 19 – Payment methods
We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, as well as Apple Pay. All transactions are encrypted to protect your personal and payment information. See our payment methods page for details.
Article 20 – Contact details
Questions about these Terms & Conditions should be sent to:
OOLO, 47 rue Vivienne, 75002 Paris, France
Email: contact@ooloteaware.com
Article 21 – Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law, as OOLO is a business registered in France. If you are a consumer living in the United Kingdom, this choice of law does not take away the protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
You can bring legal proceedings in the French courts, or in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live (England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland). In the event of a dispute, we will always try to find an amicable solution with you before any legal action is taken.
Article 22 – Your order, our contract and delivery
Before you pay, the checkout shows a summary of your order, the delivery charge and the total price, so you can check it and correct any mistake. When you place an order, you are offering to buy the pieces in it. We accept your order when we email you to confirm it, and a contract is then formed between you and us. The contract is concluded in English, and your confirmation email is your record of it, in line with the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002.
If we can't accept your order, for example because a piece is no longer available, we'll tell you by email and refund any payment in full.
Our delivery times are set out in our shipping policy. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, we must in any case deliver your order within 30 days of the day the contract is formed, unless we agree otherwise with you. If we miss this deadline, you can give us a new, reasonable deadline and cancel your order for a full refund if we miss that one too. If delivery by a particular date was essential and you told us so before ordering, you can cancel straight away.
Your order is our responsibility until it is delivered to you, or to a person you have named to receive it.
Article 23 – Your right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and under Article L.221-18 of the French Consumer Code, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving any reason. This period ends 14 days after the day you, or a person you have named, receive your order (or the last piece of it, if it arrives in several parcels).
We go further than the law: we accept returns within 30 days of delivery, as set out in our returns and refunds policy.
To cancel, tell us clearly before the period ends, for example by email at contact@ooloteaware.com. You can use our cancellation form, but you don't have to. Then send the pieces back within 14 days of telling us, to the return address we give you. Return postage is paid by you, unless the piece arrived damaged or faulty.
We refund the price of the pieces and the standard delivery charge you paid, to your original payment method, within 14 days of us receiving the pieces. We may reduce the refund if a piece has lost value because it was handled more than you would handle it in a shop.
The right to cancel does not apply to sealed goods that can't be returned for hygiene reasons once you have opened them, such as tea filters.
Article 24 – Faulty pieces and your legal guarantees
We are legally required to supply pieces that match this contract. If you live in the United Kingdom, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 says that goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. In summary:
- Up to 30 days: if your piece is faulty, you can ask for a full refund.
- Up to six months: if your piece is faulty and can't be repaired or replaced, you are entitled to a full refund in most cases.
- Up to six years (five years in Scotland): if your piece doesn't last a reasonable length of time, you may be entitled to some money back.
As these terms are governed by French law, you also have the two legal guarantees of French law, at no cost to you:
- the legal guarantee of conformity (Articles L.217-3 and following of the French Consumer Code): for two years from delivery, you can ask for a piece that doesn't match the contract to be repaired or replaced, or for a price reduction or a refund where repair or replacement isn't possible;
- the guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code): for two years from the day you discover a hidden defect, you can ask for a refund or a price reduction.
If a piece arrives damaged or develops a fault, email contact@ooloteaware.com with your order number and photos. We pay the return postage for faulty pieces.
Article 25 – Complaints and resolving disputes
If you're unhappy with your order or with our service, please contact us first at contact@ooloteaware.com. We reply within 24 hours, Monday to Friday, and will do our best to put things right.
If we can't resolve your complaint together, you can ask us about alternative dispute resolution, a way of settling a dispute without going to court. We'll tell you whether we are able to use an alternative dispute resolution provider for your case, as required by the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes Regulations 2015. You can also get free, independent advice from Citizens Advice.
You keep your right to go to court, as set out in Article 21. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including those under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.
