How to Use & Care
Brewing
- Put one or two teaspoons of loose leaves in the infuser and set it in the mug.
- Pour in hot water and put the lid on.
- When the colour looks right, lift the infuser out so the tea doesn’t turn bitter.
Cleaning
- Wash the mug, infuser and lid by hand in warm, soapy water.
- Dry the wooden handle straight away and don’t leave it to soak.
Precautions
- Not suitable for the dishwasher or the microwave, because of the wooden handle.
- Avoid sudden changes of temperature, such as rinsing a hot mug under cold water.
- The ceramic warms up with hot tea: hold the mug by its handle.
- Don’t use the mug if it is chipped or cracked.

How much does it hold?
About 300 ml, one generous cup. The infuser is about 8 cm across and 7 cm deep, with room for the leaves to open. The full measurements are under Details & Specifications above.
Which teas work best?
Loose-leaf teas and herbal blends with whole or large leaves. Very fine teas, such as rooibos or broken leaves, may let a few specks through the infuser.
Will my mug look exactly like the photos?
Very close. The glaze flows differently on each mug as it is fired, so the colours and the way they meet vary slightly from one piece to the next. That’s part of its character, not a defect.
How do I look after it?
Wash the mug, infuser and lid by hand in warm, soapy water, and dry the wooden handle straight away. Keep it out of the dishwasher and the microwave, because of the wooden handle.
Is it a good gift?
A lovely one for anyone who takes their tea at a desk or on the sofa, loose leaves and all. Delivery takes 7–14 days in total, Monday to Friday (2–4 days processing, then 5–10 days shipping, both Monday to Friday), so order a little ahead for a birthday.
