The infuser is at its best with whole leaves, flowers and herbal blends. With very fine teas, a few specks may slip through the slits.
Before First Use & Care
Before first use
- Wash the teapot, lid and infuser in warm, soapy water, then rinse well.
Brewing
- Put your leaves in the infuser and set it in the pot.
- Pour in hot water from the kettle and put the lid on.
- When the colour looks right, lift the infuser out so the tea doesn’t turn bitter.
Cleaning
- Wash by hand in warm, soapy water with a soft sponge.
- Avoid scourers and abrasive powders, which can scratch the glass.
- To lift tea stains, leave a little bicarbonate of soda and warm water in the pot for a few minutes, then rinse.
Precautions
- Heat your water in a kettle: don’t put the pot on a hob, open flame or hot plate.
- Avoid sudden changes of temperature, such as rinsing a hot pot under cold water or setting it down on a cold, wet surface.
- The glass warms up with hot water, so hold the pot by its handle and keep a finger on the lid as you pour.
- Don’t use the pot if the glass is chipped or cracked.

It’s made from heat-resistant glass, designed to take water straight from the kettle. Treat it as you would any good glassware: avoid sudden changes of temperature, and keep it off the hob.
And if it ever arrives damaged, send us a photo and we’ll send a replacement or refund you in full.

Can it go in the dishwasher?
We recommend washing it by hand in warm, soapy water with a soft sponge. It keeps the glass clear and looks after the lid and infuser.
Does the infuser work with fine teas?
It’s at its best with whole leaves, flowers and herbal blends. With very fine teas, such as rooibos, a few specks may pass through the slits. Our brewing guide has more tips.
